Abergele swimmers consolidated their opening weekend's performances by upping the anti yet again with Cameron Bell producing an exceptional result in the 11-13 200m freestyle to take silver; at the half way stage, he had split a 2 sec PB on his best ever 100m freestyle so looking good for next time over his favoured distance. Distance man James Owen broke 18 minutes (17.49) for his 1500m winning the event outright. Last time out over the distance, he went 18.01 so a huge effort swim from James in his favourite event. Brad Carnell after a shakey first turn in the 11-13 years 200m breast brought home a very well earned silver and dropped his time yet again. Alex Huffen and Charlotte Bryan proved their worth by finishing up there with the best over several events. Charlotte Riley just recovering from a very heavy bout of flu proved her ability by producing fine results in the 100m breast as did Hannah Lancaster & Nathan Hughes.

Abergele's Leah Cooper stormed away at  the Stockport Metro Open Level 1 Meet on 18/19th November  2006 In her first outing at Level 1, the 11  year old  put in the performance of her life in the 100m freestyle clocking  1.07.55 setting an incredible 2 + second  PB Her performance not only secures her  place in the Welsh Regional Squad for 07/08 but puts he bang up there with the  best in Britain for her age with a top 10 British Age Group Rankings  time.
