Upcoming GALA'S and Other Events!
The club went through a difficult time last year but is now going from strength to strength. We would like to thank everyone involved with the club for all their hard work last year. We have taken on some new swimmers and the atmosphere on training nights is great. There are two gala's coming up, both in Bangor and we would love to see a good turn out for both. We will also be taking part in the National Development Swimming League aimed at finding the best swimming club in Wales. There was a fantastic team spirit at the Four Town's gala in Rhyl and we are looking to carry this forward into the new year. Gala details are below, entry forms can be downloaded and the members section now contains PB's to make filling in gala entry forms easier.

Abergele Swimming Club Championships
The members of Abergele Swimming Club have had two great weekends in the pool, fighting it out for medals in there annual club championships. It’s been two big fun weekends for all the swimmers aged from 7 to 16 years old, with loads of encouragement coming from their parents and friends at the poolside. Later in the year the club will host their annual presentation evening, where trophies will be presented to all of the various categories. A big thank you and well done goes out to all the swimmers who took part over the two weekends. For some of them it was their first competitive swim. The club would also like to say a big thank you to the Leisure Centre Manager Alun Evans, and all his staff, along with all the helpers who contributed to the smooth running of the events. Also thank you to all the parents who supported the event and an extra big thank you to the club coach Sian Lancaster from all the swimmers, parents and committee members.
GALLERIES - The galleries now contain many fantastic pictures of the Championships.

CLUB HISTORY
The Club was formed back in 1996 with just 16 members. We are a voluntary run club that relies on the commitment of not just the swimmers, but also their parent(s). We welcome any parent who wishes to offer their skills, time and effort in order to improve the club. Now in 2010 we have over 50 members. |
